Yamaha says that it has designed the FZ-X as per customer demands and current trends in the market.
The FZ-X has several retro-style elements.
It has a round, old school headlight with the LED elements for a modern touch.
The fuel tank of this motorcycle features a different look compared to other offerings in Yamaha’s FZ series.
There are several metal components on this bike’s bodywork.
These are visible on its fuel tank, side covers, engine guard, headlight stays, front fender, fender stay, and grab-bar.
In addition to this, the front forks come with black coloured boots, which add to the bike’s rugged appearance.
The FZ-X offers an upright sitting stance to its riders thanks to a tall handlebar and high-set footpegs.
Yamaha FZ-X gets the same engine as other FZ siblings.
FZ-X comes with the same 150 cc engine that is also available on other FZ models.
The single-cylinder, air-cooled engine in question can produce 12.3 hp along with 13.3 Nm of peak torque.
It has fuel-injection technology and comes with a five-speed gearbox.
Yamaha has also tuned the exhaust note of the FZ-X to produce a throaty sound for added effects.
This BS6 compliant engine comes with self-start only.
FZ-X shares its underpinnings with the FZ
The neo-retro Yamaha FZ-X shares its frame with the FZ.
It uses telescopic fork suspension at the front, while at the rear, it comes with a 7-step adjustable monocross.
In addition to this, this 150 cc motorcycle comes with a 282 mm ventilated disc brake at the front with single-channel ABS.
On the other hand, the rear wheel gets a 220 mm ventilated disc brake.
Yamaha FZ-X comes with several features.
The FZ-X comes with an LED headlight, LED taillight and LED daytime running light.
It gets an LCD screen instrument cluster that looks contemporary.
It offers Bluetooth connectivity which is compatible with Yamaha’s Y-Connect app.

The FZ-X is available in two variants:
- With Y-Connect
- Without Y-Connect.
The ex-showroom price of the variant with Y-Connect is Rs 1,19,800.
On the other hand, the price of the variant without Y-Connect is Rs 1,16,800.
Yamaha is offering a five-year warranty coverage with the FZ-X.
It includes the standard 2-year warranty in addition to the 3-years extended warranty or 40,000 km.
Because of its unique style and market position, the Yamaha FZ-X currently does not have any direct competitor.
