Mahindra XUV700 Delivery Details Announced: ₹ 10,000 Crores Worth of Cars Booked So Far!

Mahindra and Mahindra have officially announced that the deliveries of the XUV700 will commence from the last week of October ’21. Deliveries of the petrol variants will start first, while deliveries of the diesel variants will begin from the end of November ’21.

Mahindra announced the prices of this SUV last month. While the bookings started on 7th of October. Within two days, Mahindra received more than 50,000 bookings for the XUV700. According to the manufacturer, these amount to worth ₹ 10,000 crores in terms of their ex-showroom value.

Because of the massive bookings, senior company officials, including Chairman Anand Mahindra, have ensured that the automaker is taking several steps to ensure timely delivery of vehicles to customers.

Prices for the Mahindra XUV700 start from ₹ 12.49 lakh for the base variant and goes up to ₹ 21.29 lakh (ex-showroom). This SUV is the flagship offering from the homegrown automaker.

XUV700 comes with two engine options. There is a 2.0-litre, turbocharged petrol engine and a 2.2-litre turbocharged diesel engine. The petrol engine produces 200 hp along with 380 Nm of peak torque.

The diesel engine is available in two states of tune. In lower variants, this engine produces 155 hp with 360 Nm of peak torque, while in higher trims, this engine has been tuned to produce 185 hp along with 420 Nm of torque with the manual gearbox and 450 Nm of torque with the automatic gearbox.

The petrol engine is available with the choice of a 6-speed manual as well as a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission option. The diesel engine is also available with the choice of a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
